I reached a whole new level of homesickness and I tried my hardest to stick it out and fight through it. Then in November, I made the decision to renew my contract and stay in Korea for another year. With that decision made, I bought a ticket home and surprised my family for Christmas. It was a magical and amazing trip home! Thanks to Aunt Shelli for keeping the secret and making sure everyone was staying put for the holidays!! I’m saving the videos of the surprise reactions for personal special reasons ❤ It was very special to be home and visit and relax with my family. It was also important, because it was the last time I was able to play and be with Maverick before he passed…seriously, every time I fly back to Korea, someone dies. Experiencing the loss of people you love when you can’t be close to your family and friends in that time is very difficult. But that’s another topic for another time.
